Welcome to resonate

We believe that church should be a long, deep breath in your week. We're so glad you are here. You're welcome to observe, join in, ask questions, or even leave quietly. Our only desire is that you have a real, life giving encounter with the God who loves you and smiles when he thinks about you.

What's Happening During Service

We usually begin by singing together. Some people sing right away, others take a minute to settle in, and some simply listen — all of that is okay.

You’ll hear prayers throughout the service as we make space to talk with God together. You’re welcome to join in quietly, listen, or simply receive the moment.

Our sermons are meant to be thoughtful, practical, and centered on Jesus. Our hope is not just to inspire you, but to help you follow Jesus in real ways. We have a sermon notes section for those who like to take notes. You can email it to yourself when you're done.

After the sermon, we usually take a moment to reflect before moving into communion. This usually involves a question, though sometimes it may be a prayer or spiritual exercise. Feel free to make this moment your own. It is for you and God to connect.

We take communion every week as a way of remembering Jesus and receiving his grace again. Our communion tables are open to everyone. You are welcome to participate or simply observe. Whatever feels most natural to you.

We end each service with a benediction, which is simply a closing blessing. It’s a way of sending us back into our week, reminded of God’s presence and love. One thing that is unique to Resonate is that we believe that each of us is an agent of God's blessing. For that reason, we give and receive the blessing together. It'll be on the screen for you and others to read along.

As you entered, you most likely noticed the candles. We light these for numerous reasons. Some light them as prayers. Others as a simple reminder that this place is sacred and we are meeting God in this place. We have black candles for those days that we're not ok. That even in our pain and disappointment, we can show up and find God's grace for us.

The artwork in our sanctuary is there on purpose. We wanted this space to feel different, thoughtful, and sacred. We choose pieces that capture our spiritual imagination and direct it towards God. You can read about all the pieces here
