Get Connected at Resonate

Welcome to the Connections Table

Thanks for serving at the Connections Table this morning. As you know, you are the curator of Resonate this morning. Two things to remember:
1. Journeys are made of next steps. Visitors to Dream Team, there is a next step for everybody.
2. All connections are personal. They are specific and relational.

Groups - FAQs

Right now we have 3 small groups meeting

Steele’s – Tuesday evenings, good for singles, empty nesters, older kids, divorced folks

Sorensons – Tuesday evenings, good for elementary age kids, seekers, geeks and wine lovers

Martin’s – Wednesday evenings, childcare on site, good for couples, friendly to preschool age kids

Men’s Faith + Fitness meets Saturday mornings at Trey’s garage gym, 7-9am. The workouts are scalable and all fitness levels are welcomed. Contact Trey or Angelo for more info

Our goal is to have every person who calls Resonate home to eat around our table. We do this by hosting a monthly New Comer’s dinner at the Vuicich house. Details change, make sure that they are in the system.

We don’t have any singles groups currently and this isn’t a goal. Our desire is to include our singles in our regular groups. All of our groups have singles in them (including divorced).

Beliefs FAQs

Our statement of faith is on the website here

Since you asked

we are orthodox, contemplative, missional, contemporary church.

Orthodox – we hold to traditional orthodoxy beliefs. We affirm all major creeds.

Contemplative – we are focused on the transformative process that people go through as they grow spiritually and become who God wants them to be. This includes embracing relevant liturgy (candles, communion, benedictions), engaging in spiritual practices, understanding the soul and how it grows, and creating space for people to have real connection with God and others.

Missional – many churches in our area are attractional churches. They have a come and see approach. Church is an event. We’re missional, which means we have a go and be approach. We’re passionate in helping people discover and live into their God given purpose.

Contemporary – unlike traditional churches, Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist – we try to act and speak in a way that makes sense and is meaningful for people where they are at.

We are best described as a non-denominational church. This has become a branding in America and probably fits us best.

However…

Resonate is associated with the EFCA (Evangelical Free Churches of America) This can be a sensitive subject. The EFCA is more conservative than any of us would like. However, they have given us the freedom and space to do what we feel God has called us to do.

We chose that phrase because we wanted to reach people who had given up on church. When we say a New Kind of Church we mean

We believe Doubt is the Doorway to Faith.

That Whole is the Goal.

We’re called to Build Shalom in our lives and lives of those around us.

and above all else,

We take Love seriously
